The property enjoys typical Sicilian charm in its décor and furnishings, with wooden beamed ceilings and rustic style furniture. The kitchen and living room lead to the terrace, ideal for dining al-fresco or to enjoy a BBQ, with views over the surrounding countryside.
Casa Licata is located on the southern coast of Sicily, just 40 minutes from the mythical Valle dei Templi di Agrigento (a famous archeological site that includes great temples such as Hera, Lacinia, Concordia and Heracles (Hercules). The nearby harbour town of Licata, once a major trading crossroads with origins dating back to the Palaeolithic era now takes a more modest role, being used only by local fishermen. There are several museums there with artefacts from the Roman-Greek era and ancient churches to explore.
The property is located on a wider estate, where several other buildings are present, though clients privacy is of course respected at all times. The farm produces olive oil, which is also available for clients to purchase, if so desired. Clients who stay during October (when olives are picked) may see estate staff on occasions.
